Rappahannock Mileage Club
Do you want to schedule a ride? Do you want to get out and ride with other members? Do you want to track those miles you ride with members throughout the year?  Well, do we have a program for you!
The Rappahannock Chapter has a mileage program established. The idea is to promote participation within the club. You can view ride information on the Rappahannock Chapter Calander. Also, ride announcements will be emailed with the details of the ride to all Rappahannock Chapter members.

You will be asked to sign a mileage form before each ride in which mileage will accumulate over the course of time. Patches will be given to riders that have reached specific milestones (ie 1000, 2500, 5000, 10,000 and 25,000 ). Below are the mileage program rules. Please take a moment to read them. If there are any questions please feel free to email one of the officers listed on the officer's page.

Please be sure you have read SCRC national riding rules. Click here if you want to view those rules.

Now come out and ride!!!

Mileage Program Rules

1)  In order for a ride to be a mileage ride, there must be at least 3 SCRC members (SCRC members from any chapter) at the start of the ride and a waiver form filled out with each member's name that participated in the ride.

2)  Members on a ride must complete at least half of the ride in order to receive any miles for that ride.

3)  All scheduled rides must be posted on the club calendar or emailed to all the members by one of the officers in the club 3 to 5 days prior to the ride.

4)  Member scheduled rides will not conflict with scheduled Chapter Rides.

5)  All rides must have a beginning and an end; the beginning will be the first meeting spot where there are at least 3 SCRC members present and a waiver form is filled out. The ending spot will be determined by the ride leader for that ride or a mutually agreed ending spot decided by the riders participating in the ride.

6)  Regular week night events (bike Nights) will count towards club mileage as long as the above rules are met and NO alcohol is consumed BEFORE the ride as per SCRC guidelines.

7)  All rides to and from an official SCRC State rally hosted by any state are eligible for miles regardless if there are three SCRC members on the ride.

8)  There will be a "Mileage Master" (usually the Road Captain) assigned for every ride. That person will keep track of the mileage for that ride. They will also be responsible for trurning in the waiver form to the 2nd Officer who will tally up the miles for each member.
9) Your name must be on the waiver form in order to get credit for a ride.  This is how we will track members miles.  Periodically throughout the year we will give out mileage patches to members achieving specific milestones.
